| This will be my last message as the Social Quarters Manager as I will be handing this responsibility over to Scott Odell who is the current Administrator and to Delany Nester. Both Scott and Delany are great people and will be there to help you with all your needs. I will remain on for a short time and continue to schedule event entertainment. I would like to thank everyone that has been so helpful over the last year. I believe we have made many positive changes for you, the membership. Sorry for getting the newsletter out so late this month, as I has spent much of my time in Ann Arbor at the U of M medical center for the last couple of weeks. We have the Luau Part at the Moose September 10th. This is where the drawing for the raffle tickets is happening. So, for those of you who have not turned in your tickets, we must have them turned in no later than September 10th. We will be having a dinner and band like last year. It is important we have these tickets sold as right now there has only been enough turned in to cover the prizes and the cost of printing the tickets. We want to use the money to reduce our debt in order to help keep prices down. Moose Idol is kicking off this month. If you know anyone who can sing encourage them to sign up. There were some people who had helped me with the first pontoon rally we had this summer and I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to them. Without their help, we could not have had it this year. These people are Melanie McPeake, Shirley Morgan, Theresa Hurley who wrote the clues and provided instructions for us to make the Pontoon Rally a success and to Greg Robertson and Cheryl Webb who were instrumental in getting the right clues in the right boxes and delivering them to the destinations. Without them, we could not have gotten it done. So thank you! I know this is coming late, but we would never have pulled it off without your help. The time is now!!! Membership is only $55.00 per year for all men starting September 1st. For new men members signing up in September we will be waiving the application fees so you can join for only $55.00. This will be the last special for a long time. Go get your friends and neighbors and co-workers to join!!! Did I mention, men, your dues are only $55.00 per year for those of you that have been hiding under your wife's membership. Here is the opportunity to get your manhood back and join!!! For those of you that went to other lodges to join to get a cheaper annual rate, here is your chance to bring it back to our lodge!!! We want to be number 1 in the country so let's get it done!!! Again, thank you everyone for your assistance and great times!!! Sincerely, Matt Richmond |
